Job Description

The purpose of this position is to support the dentist in providing oral healthcare for DOS, DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. The dental assistant is an integral member of the dental treatment team and performs a wide variety of interventions which contribute to the overall oral health of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting with routine dental procedures using concepts of four-handed dentistry. 

Preforms both standard and specialty dental imaging in traditional and/or digital formats 

Maintain cleanliness and prepares the operatory with all needed equipment, materials and supplies for planned dental procedure(s) prior to seating the patient and cleans operatory after the patient is dismissed for timely turnover. 

Provide direct patient care under the general supervision of the Dentist and performs clerical functions independently. 

3+ years recent experience preferred; entry-level candidates considered on a case-by-case basis 

Other duties as assigned.
